It treats interdiction as a coordination problem rather than a hull-count problem — the same logic now scaling into every drone swarm program, at sea as in the air.
A swarm of unmanned surface vehicles, coordinated by intercept-time and terminal-angle guidance to surround and contain a target, is a viable alternative or complement to manned vessels in maritime interdiction.
Why it matters
It treats interdiction as a coordination problem rather than a hull-count problem — the same logic now scaling into every drone swarm program, at sea as in the air.
Use when: Coordination is a force multiplier — swarms win by geometry and timing, not by adding more ships.
