The imposed rule: we don't explain the weirdness away. We catalog it. Then, once enough evidence accumulates, we ask what model of reality explains the greatest number of details with the fewest assumptions. OSINT for a surreal novel.

[Use when]

Reading anything surreal, mystical, or conspiratorial: catalog first, model last, explain never.

[Why it matters]

This is the method that makes the other eight rips work. Explaining too early collapses the evidence, every it's just a dream or it's all a metaphor destroys data. The catalog preserves anomalies until a model earns them: the loop, the bicycles, the dead narrator, the confident policemen, the precise-insane sentences. The discipline is: hold the weirdness open until the model with the fewest assumptions claims it. Catalog first, model last, explain never.
