Card #c563IR // #c563Verbatim excerpt
The thing everyone is waiting for is not absent or future — it is already distributed across the ground under their feet; the failure is one of recognition, not arrival. 'It will not come by watching (and waiting for) it... the kingdom of the Father is spread out upon the earth, and people do not see it.' When the good thing you seek seems perpetually 'not yet,' test the hypothesis that it is already present but unrecognized, because you were taught to look for it in the wrong shape.

[Use when]

Use when someone or a team is deferring action until some future condition is met. Use when the searched-for thing may already be present in scattered, unrecognized form. Use when reframing a goal from 'arrival' to 'recognition.'

[Why it matters]

It converts passive waiting into active noticing, which is almost always the more productive stance. It is the corrective to 'someday' thinking — about happiness, a product's ideal state, social change, or readiness: often the enabling condition is not something to wait for but something already distributed that you have failed to see. Framing the good as a dramatic future event keeps people deferring; framing it as already here keeps them alert.
